Welcome to the
We are looking forward to a
great 2014 season
As you have probably noticed, we are represented by the Dragon.
The dragon is known for a reputation of incredible loyalty, honesty, respect and a commitment to it's rider; using strength and wisdom to fiercely protect what it cares about!
We hope to establish the same qualities in our relationship with you!
We are excited to be able to offer you a bounty of goodness from our CSA Farm- (Community Supported Agriculture) . We invite you to come along on the adventure and we can grow together!
We are located in the mushroom-capped foothills of south western Wisconsin; 'just a few miles outside of Muscoda, in Grant County. Grant County is known for it's dark, rich, nutrient-filled soil which provides a perfect environment for growing healthy vegetables.
We believe in good stewardship of the land and animals. We take pride in the personal attention we give to our endeavors on the Farm; we do not believe in using pesticides, hormones, additives or chemicals. All of our animals are treated with gentle kindness and respect; Most are given names at birth and will be loved & cared for, spending their entire life here on the farm. Our chickens are always free to scratch as they please. . . we rotate our pastures to ensure free range of the hillsides and grasslands for our Scottish Highland Cattle,
Shetland Sheep, the goats, horses, llama's & chickens. . .
-and Ellis, the Riverdale Ridge supervising cat, wouldn't have us do things any other way!
Riverdale Ridge Farm was established in 2007 and we have been busy, non-stop, planning & preparing for the future of the farm- 'what an adventure!
The dream has always been to share the beauty & the bounty with others- eventually creating a retreat where the majority of the food served will come directly from the farm. . .and now we are off to a great start!
We invite you to browse our website and be sure to look at our CSA products & information ; and the order form with sign up instructions as well. Don't forget about the possibility of a Health Insurance Rebate. Rebates run from $100 for single members up to $200-$300 for families.
