The following pictures are of our herd at the farm.
We raise Scottish Highland cattle by the practice of Management Intense Grazing (MIG). This means they are rotated through pastures to graze on fresh grass. As they are eating in one pasture, the other pastures are left to rejuvenate and regrow, eventually, re-entering the feeding rotation. This provides you with the opportunity to buy premium, dry aged, all natural, grass-fed beef, processed in a USDA inspected facility and packaged just for you!
Please click on the following links to learn more about the characteristics and benefits of our grass-fed cattle and develop your own opinion. http://www.ansi.okstate.edu/breeds/cattle/highland/index.htm
Also, please refer to the following link to properly cook your grass-fed beef
We are taking reservations for beef which is available each fall. Reservations are taken on a "First come, First serve" basis. So please make them as soon as possible, but no later than July.
Each quarter can be reserved for $100.00 with the balance due at the time of processing. The total cost is based on market price at the time of processing.
Please go to the "membership" page and click on the drop-down menu for "CSA Sign Up Sheet" to reserve your quarter (or more) of beef. Thank you.
Thank you and we hope to have you as a repeat customer.
